Bloody football!

There's football on tonight - yet again. It's some big cup final game which unfortunately seems to have taken over the whole of Glasgow as it involves one of the local teams. So I guess that means going to the pub tonight after the Vikings training session is not a good idea.

I suppose it could be worse. They could have decided to hold it here, which would mean using Hampden. That's just a short walk along the road from me. I am so fed up of the anti-social behaviour which comes about whenever you get a crowd of football fans together.

So Mr Football Fan, would you pee in your own doorway? No, I didn't think you would, so why do you feel the need to do so in mine?

Of course that's because they get themselves so tanked up on alcohol. There are restrictions on drinking alcohol on trains going to matches, but that seems to be all there is. I can't understand why they are then allowed to go into the off-licenses once they get off the trains. (Hampden has bars in the stadium as well - but I won't work any football matches) This then leads to the potential for violence. You only need to be seen to be supporting the wrong team in the wrong place and there can be trouble.

I don't understand why some people insist you must support one team or another. They demand to know which one, and then (in this part of the country anyway) they think this means they can work out what religion you are and behave accordingly towards you - good or bad.

It's as if football removes any brains that the fans may have and turns them into a herd of neds. They can't watch the damn game in a pub without the sound blaring out so that other people are unable to talk. Why do they need every bloody step talked about? Can't they tell what they are looking at? And then they go about the streets singing and chanting about their team, taking up space, daring people to look at them.

And don't get me started on the ridiculous amounts of money the moronic players get paid - just for kicking a ball about a pitch!
